In 2024, where the world is at its most attractive, demanding, confusing and polarizing, the quintessential ingredient to be in this world and not of this world:

Is the PRESENCE OF GOD.

The presence of God has always led His people through the wilderness, in the promise land to the establishment of His church. However, the key is hosting His Presence. When His people forsake Him, they experienced lost, defeat, isolation, confusion and dispersion.

Our SIBKL NextGen Conference is birth out of a desire to learn how to host the presence of God.

Meet Our Speakers!

Pr Margaret Wu

Army of GOD Youth, GMS Church, Indonesia Margaret Wu, affectionately known as Meg, has been passionately leading a vibrant group of young people, the Army of God, since 2016. As the head of the Promised Land student ministry, which spans schools and campuses, Meg's influence reaches far and wide. Each year, the AOG conferences draw an inspiring 15,000 young attendees, all united in the vision of “Building Churches In Our Youth.” Meg's journey in ministry began in 2010 as a Children Pastor, following her graduation with a bachelor's degree in music from a U.S. university. In 2023, she furthered her commitment to faith and service by earning a Master's Degree in Christian Ministry. Meg's mission is clear: to empower young people to achieve their full potential in serving God and others. Together with her husband, Wieky Ang, Meg is dedicated to nurturing a generation of young individuals who thrive in their faith, bear fruit, and actively contribute to God's kingdom from an early age.

Pr Neil Smith

International Director, Planetshakers Church, Australia Neil Smith is the International Director of Planetshakers. He is recognized internationally for having a strong leadership gift. Having been in ministry for almost 30 years, Neil is passionate about building the local church but believes that ministry must extend beyond the four walls of the church. He has a vision for cultural transformation across communities, cities and nations. Neil is a dynamic communicator with a powerful faith gift and the ability to inspire people to embrace their God-given Destiny. His background in building, high-rise development and project management has also equipped him to oversee many local church building projects all around the world. His unique combination of corporate skills and ministry experience and insight has led to his inclusion on various boards and advisory committees in many churches and organisations. He also provides leadership and strategic consultancy services and is a sought after speaker. Over the last decade, Neil has also worked on community development projects, focusing on building government relationships and corporate partnerships. Neil's work as the CEO of Empower Australia expanded the charity's food relief efforts in the pandemic of 2020 - going from one site to five sites and giving out over 1 million meals that year. His ability to bring a diverse range of stakeholders to the table and facilitate synergistic partnerships has also been particularly impactful in Papua New Guinea, where he has spearheaded the Believe Campaign. As part of this movement, Neil has met with government leaders and heads of state to discuss ways in which the church at large can partner with governments and local bodies to bring sustainable development and positive impact to a nation's leadership, business, education, health and the church spheres. The initiatives in Papua New Guinea and Fiji have met with great success, with ongoing positive impact on hundreds of thousands of people. Neil is married to Leonie and has two children, Kimberley (27) and Ryan (24).

Pr Isaac Ling

Senior Pastor, Sidang Injil Borneo KL, Malaysia Pr Isaac Ling is the Senior Pastor of SIBKL. He carries a heart to prepare and move the generations to spiritual revival - hosting the Presence of God. He is passionate about the Next Generation (children, youth, college, young adults). He enjoys leadership development, intrigued with all things theology and inspired by worship all the time. He is married to Pr Kim Lian and is a proud father to two active sons, Jedidiah and Macarius.

Meet Our Workshop Speakers!

Isaac Ong

Colors Global Group, Singapore Isaac Ong, has a life mission to use music, media and messages to transform society positively. His heart is to reach the third world poor to bring resource and aid, and the first world wealthy to challenge a new way of living and thinking. He does this through Colours Global Group, a group of organizations that serves multiple communities and nations across all sectors of society. He also worships at Cornerstone Community Church and continues to serve the youth of the nation through FOPx, a national movement that sees ministries from across the nation come together to love one another and their city.

Pr Norman

Senior Pastor, 3:16 church, Singapore Pastor Norman is the Senior Pastor of 3:16 Church. He also co-founded two media based social movements (TrueLove.is and HeartbeatProject.sg) that are impacting nations on the intersection of faith and culture. These movements have also activated the Church at large to make significant contributions to marginalised communities in Singapore and Asia. Before becoming a Pastor, he spent 10 years in the marketing industry. He is also a mentor to creative professionals and influencers. He shared the same primary school, secondary school, Junior College and University with his wife. They have 3 amazing kids today.

Pr Debbie

Pastor, 3:16 church, Singapore Pastor Debbie is a pastor at 3:16 Church, where she heads the children’s ministry and oversees their justice and mercy outreaches. She also co-founded HeartbeatProject.sg, a social movement that champions women and children in vulnerable positions. These include women in unplanned pregnancies, children in foster care and the special needs community. Before becoming a pastor, she spent more than 15 years in the marketing industry. She and her husband Norman went to the same primary school, secondary school, junior college and university. Today they serve and lead 3:16 Church together. They have 3 amazing children - Joshua, Benjamin and Kate.

Steve Chao

2 x Emmy-nominated Investigative Journalist and Filmmaker. He’s directed, and hosted documentary programs including ground-breaking series such as HBO’s Traffickers, Netflix’s Midnight Asia, and feature docs like Discovery Channels’ World’s Biggest Druglord. Over a course of 25 years, Chao has led programming for many of the world’s networks, including CNN, Al Jazeera, VICE, CTV (Canadian Television), CBC, ABC News, Tencent and Channel 4. In 2020, he founded Signal Flare Productions, a boutique studio that produces international documentaries, including faith-based programs like the Alpha Youth Series. Over the course of his career, Chao has interviewed world leaders, crime syndicate bosses and reported on such historic moments as the 9/11 terror attacks in New York, the Arab spring, and the 2011 tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan. He also spent decades covering conflicts, including America’s longest war in Afghanistan. Since coming to faith at the age of 16, he's devoted his life's work to shining a light in dark places for God.
